Convocation Day Fashion 101

You are the star of your convocation day. And admit it... you want to look good. All eyes are on you! Use the following blog as your source of dos and don’ts of convocation fashion.

Blog # 1 - Convocation Hat Head

Remember! You have to wear one of those little hats.

You wake up the morning of your graduation. And spend hours on perfecting your hair. Straightening, curling, spiking, gelling, and waxing. You look great. Your parents and relatives are snapping pictures at your front door and everyone compliments you on your convocation “smart” look.

You arrive at the university. Part ways with your fans and line up for your graduation garb. Gown goes on ... and then you realize ... the mortarboard ... the worst hat you will ever wear (unless you go on to post-undergraduate education).

At this point you will realize that the hour you spent on your hair was a waste of time. Yes you could have slept longer.

The lesson you should take from this ... consider the mortarboard while prepping for your big day.

My hat head!

If you have bangs remember they will probably be flattened by the cap. If you have a lot of volume your hat will most likely never stay in place. If you have spikes or pins or too much gel the hat is going to be painful.

Lastly, keep the hat on after grad. Because no matter what your hairstyle you will have hat head.

Don’t believe me? Here is your proof.

Happy Convocation,

Christina
